Social skills & AI
Friday 23 October · 09:00 – 11:00
An inspiring, theme-driven morning programme: a talk and round-table conversations, followed by a walk through the expo.
The hardest thing to train is not the procedure but the person across from you. An angry customer, a tense situation, a conversation that could escalate. You cannot practise those moments on a slide deck, and in real life there is no second chance.
The brief: make social skills and de-escalation practisable, train behaviour under realistic pressure, and make professionals more resilient without exposing them to real risk.
This is where the forms of experience come together. Simulation games and role-play let people hold real conversations with counterparts who respond as they would in practice. AI plays those counterparts, adjusts behaviour and difficulty live, and varies so no exercise is the same. Gaming makes behaviour visible and repeatable, including around aggression and safety. The human practises judgement, empathy and calm — exactly where it matters.
From information, through experience, to participation: people prepared for the person across from them.
